Rachelle Knight, a painter based in Salt Lake City, creates vivid and bright artworks inspired by her enthusiasm for the natural world. Before becoming a full-time professional artist, Rachelle spent years as a sensitive species botanist, locating, monitoring, and protecting plants in the Pacific Northwest and the Great Basin. Most recently, Rachelle spent 15 years working as a software engineer. Throughout her professional career, Rachelle yearned to create and explore natural constructs freely. Working primarily with acrylics, Rachelle’s vibrant, colorful, and whimsical styles make the natural wonders of the world accessible to all.
